Adventure. Life is always full of fun and exciting activities. The Lord blessed us in so many ways this year, large and small. The daily adventures we had with grandchildren (and our children) and a big adventure to Australia meant time together living in the grace and love of Christ. Our celebrations this Christmas will celebrate again the adventure that God has in store for us in the coming weeks, months and years.
Becky is always a Lego fan. She builds, sorts and organizes throughout the year. She has also been crocheting and re-arranging here at home. She most loves being Gran to Jamie and Emerson.
I (Steve) like projects. New for this year is 3D printing, but home projects, a remodeled shed, and repairs are always great too! The most fun was recording children's books for my grandchildren...
Anthony (Gainesville FL) and Isabel got engaged this year! (No date set yet) We love having them both around. Anthony works as a software designer while Isabel is finishing her PHD dissertation at the University of Florida.
Natalie and AJ (Orlando FL) and Jamie are very much a part of our regular life. Natalie works in HR at an energy company and helps to manage the pension and 401k administration. AJ works maintenance at St. Luke's. Jamie turned 2 in April and is a joy to be around! They are excited to welcome another baby girl into the family due in March 2024.
Jacob and Mallory (Austin TX) and Emerson lead a busy life. Jake switched to software programming this year and Mallory manages school programs for girls. Emerson turned 2 in December and has a smile and hug for everyone.
Becky and I traveled to Australia in September and had an amazing time. Beaches, tide pools, history, Opera House and whale watching in Sydney, kangaroos, Tasmanian Devils and Port Arthur in Tasmania, the Great Barrier Reef, rain forest and more in Cairns. It would take pages to cover it all so check out the pictures for a quick view!
Our other adventures included: time in Fort Lauderdale with Phil, Phil's visit here and a trip to the environmental center, Anthony and Isabel time in Gainesville, a visit from (and to) Becky's mom, camping in the Ocala National Forest, Go cart racing in Austin, a great Labor Day weekend with all the kids and grandkids in New Smyrna, and a San Antonio Spurs game!
